Who has had the biggest influence on your career to date?
All my successes have been since I married Karen ! Along with the EA High Performance. My Father Brian got me started on the horse riding path.
Was it always your plan to work with horses professionally?
Once I could see a viable way YES.
What made you choose your current discipline?
The discipline of the 3 events to train and the challenge, the chance to win a medal at Olympics.
What qualities do you look for when choosing a new horse?
Good brain, attitude and ability to mentally and physically cope with 3 Day Eventing and soundness.
What is your favourite training exercise?
Do not have a favourite, I like versatility !
What gets you out of bed every morning?
A coffee or 2 !
How do you deal with the lows of the sport?
You get better at dealing with it as you mature ( get older!) there is a lot of them.
Your most embarrassing career moment?
I suppose at the water Badminton on Tex when I jumped into the crowd ! Not proud of that but it made headlines – and still does !
What would your advice be to an aspiring professional?
Make sure you look after your horses the best you can- they will be the ones that bring you success, as well as hard hard work !

I think I may be boring as I don’t really have one ….. yet !

To keep representing Australia on the World stage until I can’t anymore.
Develop cross country Course Design, to keep Australia on the top level of International courses and trends whilst maintaining the safety of cross country courses.
